About Me
I was brought up on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire but have spent my adult life in South Yorkshire. I am qualified in furniture design but opted to teach for 40 years. I am a retired assistant headteacher who taught Design & Technology but also had responsibility for staff professional development and initial teacher training. Since retiring I have been able to develop my passion for wood, the open landscape and architecture. I have always been interested in sculpture and in particular Barbara Hepworth and her peers. My original works are based on a collection unusual woods and using the natural faults and characteristics of the woods. All works are produced to the highest standard using traditional techniques. All works have a certificate of authenticity with a title and signature.
